Potato crumble is an easy recipe for a delicious savory pie stuffed with sausage and cheese. This quick recipe with potatoes could be a second course suitable for picnics or outdoor trips in the summer.

INGREDIENTS
600 g potatoes
1 egg
170-180 g flour
40 g grated cheese
Salt to taste.
breadcrumbs
pepper
2 sausages
200 g diced low–moisture mozzarella

HOW TO MAKE THE POTATO CRUMBLE

Cook potatoes in boiling water. Meanwhile  pour a little olive oil in a pan and stir fry half onion cut into slices. Add the sausage cut into small pieces.

Check the potatoes, to see if they are ready just sting them with a fork, if they are soft you can drain them. Crumble the potatoes and pour them in a large bowl. You can peel and then crush them with a fork. If you have a potato masher, just cut them in two parts without peeling them. Put them inside and you get the crumbled potatoes, the peel will remain inside the potato masher.

Now add the salt, an egg and mix well. Then add the grated cheese and flour, mixing well. The potato crumble dough is ready.

Take a springform pan and line the bottom with baking paper, then close it. Now make the base with the mixture of potatoes, pressing with your hands to compact it. Keep a little aside.

Spread the onion and sausage filling on the base. Add the diced mozzarella, use low – moisture mozzarella  because it loses less water during cooking.

Now with the rest of the potato dough cover the pie, by taking small pieces with your hands and spread them on the top. In this way, the top of the cake will be crispy after cooking.   Finish with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs and a little pepper.

Bake the potato crumble for 35 minutes at 200°C / 390°F.

Wait a few minutes and open the cake pan, cut the pie into slices and taste immediately! The filling is delicious and the surface is golden and crisp!
